How to color-grade a video online with no software install
- Step 1Drop your video and LUT file — Drop your video and adjust the sliders
- Step 2Set LUT intensity — JAD shows a real-time WebGPU preview at full resolution
- Step 3Export the graded video — Export the graded video — the same shader runs over every frame
Frequently asked questions
What LUT file formats does JAD support?+
JAD supports CUBE format LUTs (the standard for DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, and most colour grade software) and 3DL format LUTs (used by some professional monitoring tools). CUBE files can be 1D (single-channel, contrast/gamma curves) or 3D (full colour transformation). Most creative LUT packs distributed online use the .cube format and are directly compatible.
My footage is S-Log or Log-C. Will the LUT work correctly?+
Log-to-Rec.709 LUTs (like Sony S-Log2 to Rec.709 or ARRI Log-C to Rec.709) are designed to be applied to log footage. If your footage is in log and your LUT is the correct log-to-Rec.709 conversion for that camera profile, the result will be correctly exposed Rec.709 output. If you apply a creative look LUT (designed for Rec.709 input) to log footage, colours and exposure will be incorrect. Apply the technical conversion LUT first, then the creative look LUT if needed.
What is LUT intensity and how do I use it?+
LUT intensity (0–100%) controls how strongly the LUT is applied. At 100%, the full LUT transformation is applied. At 50%, the output is a linear blend between the original (ungraded) image and the fully graded image. This lets you dial in subtle creative looks without committing to the full stylisation of the LUT. For technical log-to-Rec.709 conversions, use 100% — partial application of a technical LUT will produce intermediate, incorrect colour.
